Our Dementia & Companion Care services include engaging in various social activities & establishing safe and more comfortable environments, trusting relationships & techniques to maximize independence for as long as possible.
Non-Medical Home Care
Our non-medical home care & respite services involves activities where the you need physical assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), meal preparation, and maintaining your residence.
We would like to assist you and your loved one with staying in their home as long as possible. With a strong support care team, it is possible to maintain a respectful, honorable, and dignified quality of life.

Initial Consultations are always available for free.
Our Advocate services are directed under the supervision of a Social Worker. These services monitor the quality of care given to the client from the Agency, personal and home care attendants, physicians and nursing staff. The Health Aspect
Health and Social Advocate services are maintained through case management under the supervision of a Social Worker.
These services monitor the quality of care given to the client from the Agency, personal and home care attendants, physicians and nursing staff. Your Advocate can be presence at scheduled physician visits, regular facility wellness check-up.
The health aspect of this service provides you and your loved ones an advocate to speak on your quality of care. Advocates visits your loved ones regularly in their home or whatever facility they may be residing whether short term for rehabilitation or long term to inquire about the quality of health care they are receiving.
Some services on Our health side of our advocacy includes:
- Keeping track of regular appointments and follow-ups
- Arrange transportation to scheduled appointments if needed
- Accompany client to regular and specialized healthcare appointments
- Ensure needs are communicated to their health care provider and staff.
- There may be questions our elders forget to ask or unsure of what to ask.
- Provide important information regarding their health to their health care providers and staff.
- Request and collect medical records from all medical providers to furnish each medical provider with a complete inclusive medical record.
- Ensure medication prescriptions are up-to-date, filled and organized.
- Ensure health care is at the desired attentive level of care.
- Keep those authorized informed of any changes in health.
The Social Aspect
The social aspect of this service provides social events and offer public assistance program application and ongoing services, such as Medicaid and various long term care programs.
We coordinate with local non-profit organizations, churches, health care staff, nursing home staff, financial advisers and support groups to offer educational material and presentations to deliver viable information to our senior community and their families.
Medicaid Long Term Care Application Assistance
Our Medicaid Planning & Eligibility services provide an alternative solution to traditional Medicaid planning with much lower fees. Traditional Medical planning services can cost near $10,000 to $15,000 to retain an Elder law attorney. We offer Medicaid-compliant planning strategies, using a sliding scale fee formula to help make Our services affordable for everyone! Our Medicaid Advocates are Medicaid policy trained, to ensure all of Our planning strategies are Medicaid compliant.
Long-Term Care Planning
Aging is the most normal and unescapable stage in life we all hope to experience with as much independence and control over our quality of life. Planning for the inevitable is a gift to yourself and your loved ones.
Your Advocate can assist with creating and notarizing a long-term care plan consisting of the essential legal documents to secure your personal wishes are met. The documents include: Durable Power of Attorney, Healthcare Power of Attorney, Living Wills, Health Directives, Wills, Transfer on Death/Quit Claim Deeds & Revocable Trusts.
Household Management Services
Household Management Services are frequent scheduled in-home visits to assist with mail-sorting, bill paying, setting up direct deposits and automatic bill payment and account reconciliation as well as inventory and restocking of personal and home care supplies.

We offer various fiduciary services to the community such as Notary Public, assistance with Essential Documents, such as Durable Power of Attorney, Healthcare Representative, Advance Medical Directives, Miller Trusts (For Medicaid), educational seminars and more.

The concept of the Beacon of Light comes from the many lighthouses that provide a guide to the ships out at sea. There are many resources available to assist community members with their various needs involving short/long term health care, however, some of these resources are not easily found. Beacon of Light Care is a family-owned business who refuse to give up on the care of our seniors and desire to extend our compassion to our community. Established in 2016, incorporated in Indiana November 17, 2017 and then Florida in 2022, Beacon of Light Care have provided first-class non-medical home care and advocate services to Florida’s Broward and Miami-Dade Counties, as well as, Indiana's Northern Counties.
